In MoKids, Mosaic's Children's Ministry, we have roles for people with any kind of skills and interests.

2) Then, complete your MoKids Volunteer Application online.
TIP-There are two things that you'll want to have handy before you start filling out the application: 1) You'll need two references with contact info. 2) You might want to type out your brief salvation story and so it is ready to paste into the form. Click here for form.
3) Pending review of application and background check, you'll be contacted to discuss which specific role is best for you and then scheduled to attend a MoKids Volunteer Orientation.

NURSERY AND TODDLERS
In our nursery, infants experience an environment of love, play and prayer. As our babies approach age 2, they also begin to hear simple stories from God?s word.
- Infant Caregivers - These lovers of babies minister to and care for our youngest Mosaics by rocking, playing, and praying over them. Infant Caregivers serve weekly in either worship hour with time off as needed.
- Toddler Teachers - Focus is on loving our 1 and 2 year olds and teaching a simple lesson from the Bible. Materials and fun activities are provided. Toddler Teachers serve weekly in either worship hour with time off as needed.
PRESCHOOL
Our preschool ministry is where we can give kids a great first impression of our loving heavenly Father.
- Small Group Leaders - This role entails doing fun activities with the children and spending time connecting with a small group of children. The goal is to build relationships with the kids and reinforce the lesson taught by others in large group. Serve weekly in either worship hour with time off as needed.
- Large Group Teams - serve one month on, one month off in second hour (10:45am)
- Storytellers - Focus is on bringing the Bible story in a fun and relevant way. The story content and props are provided. One hour of prep during the week is needed to bring the story in an excellent way. Must be a fun person who connects well with preschoolers.
- Hosts - This is a person with a dramatic flare who relates really well with preschoolers. This person presents content from the curriculum to introduce the Bible story in a fun way. One hour of prep during the week is needed. Props and content are provided. THIS IS AN ESPECIALLY GREAT ROLE FOR FUN, ENERGETIC DADS OF SMALL CHILDREN.
- Worship Leaders - This role needs to filled by people who can sing, who can relate to young kids, and who want to see a heart of worship developed even in our small children. Some songs are provided with the curriculum. Other songs can be used as well from sing-a-long CDs or with an instrument. Some prep during the week is needed to provide an excellent worship experience for the kids.
ELEMENTARY - MOZONE - 9:00 A.M
MoZone is a high-energy, high-impact 90 minutes of fun-filled learning and interaction with kids K- 4th grade. This first hour experience is designed for children whose families attend church both worship hours. This time is all about building relationships with Jesus, friends, and adult leaders.
- Storyteller - Focus is on presenting a Bible truth in a fun and relevant way. The story content is provided. One hour of prep during the week is needed to bring the story in an excellent way. Must be a fun person who connects well with elementary children.
- Activity Team - These fun and outgoing volunteers lead games and activities with the children while building relationships with them. Games/activities are provided. Very little prep needed.
- Snack Volunteer - This person prepares a snack for the children to ?tide them over? til lunch since kids attending MoZone are staying for both worship hours. No prep needed. Entry level role!
- Audio/Video Technician - Provide audio and video support playing DVDs, music, powerpoint presentations.
ELEMENTARY - CLUB W - 10:45 A.M.
This second hour experience includes both large group and small group components. In large group, creative storytelling and worship combine to present Biblical truth in a relevant way. When kids go to small group, they internalize the message through fun activities and time spent with their
small group leader.
- Small Group Leaders (SGL) - These fun and caring people help kids internalize the truth presented in large group. They do this by leading their small group in fun activities to reinforce the message and by getting to know each child individually. SGLs are an extra trusted adult in the lives of each MoKid who attends. A minimal amount of prep is needed through the week. Small group leaders serve every Sunday in second hour with time off as needed.
- Large Group Teams - serve alternate months in second hour; one month on, one month off. Approximately one hour of prep is needed during the week. Team members must be fun and dramatic people who connect well with elementary kids.
- Storyteller - brings the Bible story to elementary students in a creative and relevant way. The story content/script and props are provided.
- Host - helps the storyteller present real life situations where kids can apply Bible truths. Props and content/script are provided. THIS IS AN ESPECIALLY GREAT ROLE FOR FUN, ENERGETIC DADS.
- Worship Leader - works in team with the host and storyteller to offer relevant and heart-felt worship experiences to elementary students. The worship leader should have some musical ability, but does not have to play an instrument. Some songs are provided with the curriculum. Other songs can be used via sing-along CDs or with guitar/etc. Some prep during the week is needed to provide an excellent worship experience for the kids.
- Audio/Video Technician - provides audio and video support in our new elementary theater. This person also prepares Powerpoint slides for worship songs, teaching points, advertisements to parents, etc.
- Classroom Assistants - The Classroom Assistant greets parents and signs kids in and out. He/she also helps SGLs keep things moving by preparing snacks while kids are in large group and checking to make sure all of the needed supplies are organized in each tub. A classroom assistant might also help with games/activities and might even fill in for an SGL if no other sub is available. Classroom Facilitators serve every Sunday in second hour with time off as needed.
BEHIND THE SCENES MOKIDS OPERATIONS
- Administrative Whiz - This person with a mind for organization and a heart of service provides administrative assistance throughout the year via ongoing tasks and seasonal projects.
- Resource Team
- Team Leader - This leader consolidates needs from ministry areas and needed resource room consumables into a simple, single shopping list for ?bargain hunter?. Keeps resource room neat and organized. Assembles bins of print materials and supplies for each classroom each week. Needs to be a conscientious person with a passion for serving with excellence.
- Printing Assistant - Assists our current printing specialist with printing curriculum lessons and the many activity pages, parent take-home resources, etc. Needs to be a person with a passion for excellence.
- Bargain Hunter - Shop once or twice per month for items on a detailed MoKids shopping list and return items to MoKids Resource Room.
- Bin Buddies - Assist the Resource Team Leader with assembling bins of supplies and printed materials for each class each Sunday.
- Welcome Team
- Computer Check-in - This smiling volunteer uses the simple computer system to check the children into MoKids. EASY ENTRY LEVEL POSITION!
- Warm Welcomer - These friendly people work at the children?s welcome desk helping those new to Mosaic get checked into MoKids and oriented to what is offered for their children.
- Security Watchdogs - These tough but loving individuals patrol the area for any security issues and may occasionally assist with children having difficulty cooperating in the classrooms.
- Childcare Coordinator - This leader is needed to coordinate paid and volunteer childcare workers for Wednesday nights and special events. This position affords a chance to create more than just childcare and is an opportunity to spiritually build into the children present. This ministry has not yet been developed.
- Pastoral Care Team
- Event Planning Assistants - Assist in planning and prepping for events like volunteer training, volunteer appreciation, Partnering with Parents Family Nights, etc.
- Volunteer/Family Care Assistants - This role involves writing birthday cards to kids and volunteers, encouraging volunteers with notes, cards, etc; caring for needs in our kids? and volunteers? families.
- Partnering with Parents Assistants - Assist with events and other initiatives to enhance the partnership between MoKids and parents in the spiritual nurturing of the children.
- Deaf Interpreters - These volunteers interpret the lesson taught in any of the classes where deaf children are present.
- Special Needs Helpers - These volunteers with a heart to serve children with special needs sit one-on-one in class with any of our special needs children to assist them with participating. No prior training is needed.
