THE PREP ROOM

This clothes closet first opened in October 2019 to
provide quality FREE clothing and household accessories
to the underserved in our city. The Prep Room, located in
the Warehouse alongside the Worship space, is so much
more than a closet!

Pat Brown is a Mosaic Deacon who has served in the
Prep Room since its inception. She recently assumed
leadership of this ministry to meet the immediate needs
of men and women, while also encouraging them,
praying for them, and helping them take the next step
toward a healthy life. Mary Ingram, Almeta Rowell, and
Georgia Morris are key volunteers who lead these efforts
week in and week out.

Weekly, Hangers Cleaners delivers freshly cleaned
coats for those in need. On Mondays, volunteers sort
the coats, clothing, and other personal items that help
people stay warm and dry through challenging weather
conditions. By Tuesday, personalized boxes are ready for
those who have requested them.

You’re probably asking, “What can I do?” The Prep
Room needs immediate donations of cold weather
clothing. Blankets, new undergarments, shoes, scarves,
hats, and gloves top the list. Drop items off at the Prep
Room on Sunday mornings or at the Mosaic office
Monday through Thursday.

Pat has the gift of mercy. She is a devout believer in
prayer and God’s Word. She says, “Whatever God starts,
He completes!”
