US vs. GOD

WE ARE….

Are more fragile than we think we are.
Are more self-righteous than we think we are.
Are more broken than we think we are.
Are prouder than we think we are.
Are less in control than we think we are.
Are more judgmental than we think we are.
Are more lustful than we think we are.
Are more materialistic than we think we are.
Are more slanderous than we think we are.
Are more angry than we think we are.
Are less self-aware than we think we are.
Are led astray easier than we think we are.
Are in need of grace much more than we think we are.

GOD, ON THE OTHER HAND…

God is more sovereign than we think He is.
God’s grace is deeper and wider than we think it is.
God’s patience is much, much longer than we think it is.
He is more righteous than we think He is.
His thoughts are much higher than we think they are.
His ways are much more complex than we think they are.
His truths are much simpler than we think they are.
His power is more absolute than we think it is.
His goodness is much purer than we think it is.
Christ’s sacrifice is more complete than we think it is.
His love is more encompassing than we think it is.
His cross is more equalizing than we think it is.
His heart for the lowly is greater than we think it is.
His forgiveness is more restorative than we think it is.
His redemptive plan is much grander than we think it is.
He rescued us from more than we think He did.
He is more sinless than we think he is.
He is more accepting than we think He is.
His blood is more powerful than we think it is.
His mercy is more inclusive than we think it is.

Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. (2Cor 12:9, 4:7)
