FULFILLED
Our recent series has focused on the myriad of impossible ways that Jesus fulfilled Scripture, culminating in Pastor Lauren’s sermon Sunday with the image of 5,000 warehouses full of 2 million ping pong balls to capture the probability of fulfilling a prophecy. That’s amazing. It’s miraculous.
However, this pales in comparison to the spiritual fulfillment He brings with Him. Our world is crazy…there is no way the Holidays can hide the news of war-torn areas and sickness. Our hearts may squeeze, we bring them to Him, and there is peace. But our Savior always goes above and beyond. He brings us to a place past peace. There is even JOY. This has always been the greatest miracle to me…finding peace and joy in the midst. It always brings me back to a place of gratitude. There is nothing, NOTHING, that compares to knowing Him.
This isn’t exactly a “Christmas” verse, but it is one of my favorites. To the only One who can.
Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
