WRITING THE 365- BOOK THAT IS 2023

Now that we have 2022 in the rearview mirror, we should be thinking about how we might want to live our lives differently in 2023.  As this new year becomes a book that you are writing about your daily life, what will be its message?

The Lord has given us everything we need for our 2023 journey.  He is the Great Provider.  While we must make the choices necessary to utilize the gifts He has provided, we must also avoid trying to control every circumstance and situation.  He will always make a way.  Look for it.

The 23rd Psalm gives us guidance and knowledge to live abundantly (surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever).

For purposes of this discussion, we will focus only on verse 1.

Psalm 23:1 (ESV) says, “ The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

God provides all we need.  He is Jehovah Jireh (see Genesis 22:14)

Though He causes things to be created, He was never created.  He has always been and will always be.  God is the constant Constant.

He is our middle C.  He is the standard for tuning our lives. He never changes.

Counselors can comfort us in a storm, but we have a God who stills the storm.

Philosophers can debate the meaning of life, but we have a Lord who declares the meaning of life.

What we have is a God who placed 100 billion stars in our galaxy and 100 billion galaxies in the universe.  A God that sent His Son to pay the price for all of our sin so that when we accept Him as our Savior, we are counted as His children and have an inheritance beyond all inheritances, enabling us to spend eternity with Him in heaven.

He is all of this and immeasurably more.  God provides all we need to live with peace; to have joyful, loving, and fruitful lives.

All Mosaics have a 365 blank-page book to write in 2023.  Write a great one!
